The family of 17-year-old Maya, say their daughter ran away Tuesday, Feb. 25, and they are asking for your help in locating their child. Maya was last seen at her home in Sour Lake on Tuesday, but not heard from since. She is described as 4’10” tall, weighing 100 lbs, and driving a gray 2011 Volkswagon Jetta TDI with Texas plates MPW3814. She is believed to be in the Houston area, perhaps sheltered with an older African-American man who goes by the name ‘Mauqice.’ If you have any information about Maya’s whereabouts, please contact the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office at (409) 246-5101.
