UPDATE NAME RELEASED:According to Lumberton PD Chief Danny Sullins, Shortly after 9 p.m. Friday night a 26-year-old female who has been identified as Bre H. Barker. She was attempting to cross Highway 69 from West Chance when she rode her bicycle in the southbound path of a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The woman was transported to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth hospital where she passed from her injuries.Upon investigation of the accident it was determined there was nothing the driver of the pickup could have done to avoid the collision.
