TIP: With SETX expecting some really really cold temperatures, some call a Hard Freeze 😕 our friends over at @The Wright Plumbers wanted to remind everyone to share a few steps that you can take to help prevent freezing and busted pipes.
Remember to disconnect any hoses outside and insulate hose bibs.
Cover vents around the foundation of your home and open cabinet doors to allow heat to get to un-insulated pipes under sinks and appliances near exterior walls.
Make sure you know where your shut off valves are located.
If your water pipes burst, turn off the water at the main shutoff valve in the house; leave the water faucets turned on and call your plumber.
We will have temperatures that will be at or below freezing so take precautions to protect those pipes!
On a side note, make sure you bring your pets indoors during cold weather, if it is too cold for us...it is too cold for them.
