Hardin County Health Department Grades


  • LUMBERTON

  • Mi Pueblo #2, 120 Candlestick, -- earned a perfect score of 100.

  • Subway, 325 N. Main, very organized and clean -- earned a perfect score of 100.

  • Dollar Tree, 725 N. Main, floors need mopping and sweeping, toilet facilities not stocked, missing thermometers in coolers – earned a score of 96.

  • Lumberton ISD Cafeterias, all campuses, all specifications met – earned a perfect score of 100.

  • Novrozsky’s, 441 S, Main, hand washing sink not labeled, overhead ac vents need cleaning, back wall at three-compartment sink needs attention-paint chipping and mold/ mildew in corners, need new handle on walk-in-cooler, gnats at ice machine area, need new threshold and peep hole for back door, outside drain needs cleaning, flour tub needs wiping outside, pallets need to go, reach-in coolers holding water, ceiling tiles need replacing, grease bin needs cleaning – earned a score of 90.

  • Big Thicket Country Store, 807 N. Main, all specifications met – earned a perfect score of 100.

  • Yummy Buffet, 1320 Hwy 956 S., cleanliness much improved, shrimp needed ice, prep meats need labeling, back dock needs cleaning, need new gasket on walk-in-cooler, replace buckets with trash cans – earned a perfect score of 91.

  • Al Basha Grill, 351 S. Main, new opening, all specifications met – earned a perfect score of 100.

  • Hot Wok, 76 N. LHS, rice cookers left dirty overnight, towels laying around and using dirty towels, cleanliness issues in kitchen, raw food stored over cooked food in cooler, no thermometers, front floors need to be swept better at night, dates not consistent, lids missing fom food and labels missing – earned a score of 89.

  • Spanish Trails Assisted Living, 775 Hwy 96, all specifications met – earned a perfect score of 100.

  • Whataburger, 825 Hwy 96 S, all specifications met – earned a perfect score of 100.

  • Sunshine Grocery, dba Sunshine, 8511 Mormon Church Road, no food handler certifications, hot water needed in restroom – earned a score of 96.

  • Donut Nation, 3259 FM 92 N, all specifications met – earned a perfect score of 100.

  • Silsbee ISD Cafeterias, all campuses, all specifications met – earned a perfect score of 100.

  • Love Fellowship Church, 440 S. 12th Street, all specifications met – earned a perfect score of 100.

  • Poncho’s Street Tacos, 134 Pine Plaza, all specifications met – earned a perfect score of 100.
